Healing Ruby’s Gut: How to Use DiGize

As I explain in a previous post, we took Ruby off the goat milk to speed up the gut healing process because we think she still isn’t absorbing her food appropriately. She was still waking up several times a night. Someone on the GAPS facebook group suggested that this may be the case and therefore her brain is constantly sending the signal to wake a night to eat.

I learned from Jennifer Tow almost a year ago that the herbs which are used to increase milk supply do so because they aid in gut healing. By healing the gut, the mother is able to absorb more nutrients and produce more milk. So I got to thinking about this….

If I give Ruby these herbs, then perhaps we can expedite this entire process! Brillant! Since essential oils are exponentially more powerful and concentrated than herbs, I decided to look and see what we had available.

We have several oils that aid in healing the digestive system. Fennel, tarragon, carrot seed, coriander, galbanum, ginger, ledum, peppermint, spikenard, and tangerine. But that’s a lot of oils and a lot of money. So I started searching through our oil blends to see if there was something that could work for us. Luckily, I found something!

The oil blend is Di-Gize and it contains a few of the most powerful oils that were mentioned above, plus one that is a digester of toxic material in the body. That is especially important, because GAPS is heavily based on the idea that gut damage causes high toxicity in the body. The bonus is that I had already planned to order our Golden Touch 1 kit that is specially aimed at preventing and healing winter time discomforts. Di-Gize is one of the oils in that kit! So I had already ordered it and didn’t even know it!DiGize

****Warning**** About to talk about poop.

Previously, Ruby’s poop looked exactly like the food when she ate it. I don’t mean, she has chunks of food in her poop. I mean, coming out of her, it looked EXACTLY like it did going into her. Which means lots of gut damage and inability to digest and breakdown food.

The shipment of oils arrived last Friday (Sept 28, 2012). I immediately gave her a drop into the mouth followed by some water to drink. Yeah…. she didn’t like that so much. For dinner, I mixed it into the food. She took that much better. I continued mixing it into her food with lunch and dinner everyday. Monday morning she pooped. There are still pieces of food in her poop, but her poop is actually starting to look like poop! It’s actually a normal brown color, just with pieces of food in it. That’s huge! I’m amazed at how well this has already helped her and it had only been 3 days!

Normal Uses for Di-Gize

Di-Gize is useful for improving digestive function. It digests toxic material, can alleviate indigestion, stomach cramps, upset stomach, nausea, belching, bloating, and heartburn. For morning sickness, an expecting mother can place a drop behind each ear. It can also rid people and animals of parasites (pin worms, tape worms, etc).

If you are using Di-Gize to improve digestion, the best way to take it is orally. For an adult or child, you can add a drop or two to a smoothie or a glass of milk. (Caution: I didn’t say it tasted great, I said it works!). If the person taking the oil can swallow a pill, you can add a few drops to an empty clear capsule and just swallow it. This is help you avoid the taste. For an infant, you can add it to baby food. I often did this for Ruby. If I forgot to add it to food, then I just put a drop on my finger and swobbed the inside of her mouth. Then gave her water to drink it down with.

If you are using Di-Gize to alleviate digestive discomforts (upset stomach, bloating, gas, diarrhea, cramps, etc), I usually rub it on the belly. If you don’t experience relief in 10 minutes or so, rub it on a again. It contains nutritious herbs so you can’t overdose. Rub it on as much as you like. (The only exception to this is if you are pregnant. Fennel oil is one of the oils in this blend. Fennel is known to affect hormone levels. To what degree, we are not sure. It isn’t really ethical to test it on pregnant women. I have taken it several times this pregnancy and haven’t experienced any problems. I’m not saying don’t use it. I’m saying to use common sense and don’t dump half the bottle on at one time).

To rid an animal of parasites, apply to their feet. The animal will ingest the oil without any fuss by licking their feet. Moreover, the feet of mammals have large pores. This means we quickly absorb and detox substances from the bottom of the feet.

This oil is great to have on hand during the flu season. If you catch a stomach bug or feel bloated or uneasy from holiday eating, rub it on! Click on the link to read our testimony of how Di-Gize rescued use from the stomach flue!

Purchasing Options

1. Buy the oil at retail price: $42.11 for 15 ml (contains about 250 drops). It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for. Over-the-counter medicines are full of toxins that poison the body and do further damage. We only feel better because the chemicals in them trick our body into not feeling pain or discomfort. They have no healing power. These oils relieve the pain and discomfort by healing the body. That’s why often you may not see immediate results. Healings often take time. Keep putting it on and give the oils time to heal you.

2. Buy the Golden Touch 1 kit. It contains 7 oil blends  (5ml bottles that contain about 85 drops) that help with winter discomforts. The oils in this kit can help boost your immune system, allowing you to potentially avoid the flu without the toxic flu shot! If you unfortunately do contract a sickness, they will lessen the severity of the sickness and quickly help you heal from it. The kit is $102.11 at retail price.

3. Purchase a whole sale membership for $40 and get a free 5ml bottle of peppermint and lavender with the membership (Why don’t Sam’s Club, Costco, or BJ’s give free stuff with their memberships?). This is a one-time membership fee that you will never have to pay again, as long as you buy a minimum of $50 of product each year. You can then order the single oil of Di-Gize for $32 or the kit for $77.75. Plus you will have access to a rewards program where you can get discounted shipping on those items and get 10% back to put towards free products. In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to create an additional stream of income, should you choose to.

You may also order the products online here. If buying an oil at retail pricing, change the Account type to “Customer.” If you decided to buy the membership to get wholesale pricing, select “Independent Distributor.” You will need to enter my member number into both the Sponcer box and the Enroller box. 1358892.
